All through school, internship and everything in between, I have read about NYSC, and formed my opinions of it. I belonged to the group of people that believed it was a program that has had its original motives defeated already. Although I was mostly unperturbed at the time, since it seemed so far off, before I would at least have to participate in it.  I didn't know why, but I felt as far as NYSC was concerned, I was insulated in a way from it. Do not ask me why, It was just a hunch that the program has got nothing on me. However, that was to change when it finally caught up with me; and it was now time to serve. I knew nothing about NYSC; and all I was used to seeing, were my people posing in their khaki wears and some others talking about their experiences in camp. Sometimes, I see life as an endless journey. You just have to keep going, experiencing all the ups and downs, You project and hope it stops one day, but it never really stops until you are stopped. They are everywhere, at the street corners, in the markets, etc. Try counting five (5) electric poles in your hood, and I can bet you would find at least one. They are scattered all across. Good quality healthcare is a fundamental human right. Every living human is entitled, as it is no luxury; everyone should have access to this necessity. But sadly, that is not the case with Nigeria. I honestly get the place of rules. I know how it helps to keep us all in check and how it is so consistent in holding up the barriers between sanity and the insanity of human society.  However, no one knows who makes the rules or sets the benchmark for considering that which is sane and insane.
